Biography:

Todd was born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, where he was active in Church, participated in school functions, boy scouts, and especially enjoyed playing sports, particularly baseball, basketball, and football, participating in organized and school leagues, lettering in multiple sports in high school.

He joined the Army while still in high school and went on to serve 20 years and 29 days of faithful and honorable service in the United States Army, officially retiring as a Paratrooper and Senior Noncommissioned Officer on October 31st, 2016. I’ve held a Top Secret/SCI Yankee White Clearance. During his time in the Army, he served around the world, notably serving 6 ½ years at the White House Military Office under the Bush-Cheney & Obama-Biden Administrations, where he traveled under a Diplomatic passport when traveling outside the United States. He also served in Iraq on a Military Transition Team (MiTT) as an advisor to the Iraqi Army and Police Forces, in Afghanistan as a Platoon Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne, and as a Liaison to the Combined Joint Task Force-East during the 2012 “military surge.”

While serving, Todd received numerous awards and decorations, notably the Bronze Star, Combat Action Badge, Presidential Service Badge, Airborne Wings, and the Bronze Order of Mercury the highest award a living person can receive from the Signal Corp Regimental Association. Since retiring, he has served as a Staff Associate in the Trump-Pence Administration, and have been active with several Veterans Service Organizations, especially the American Legion.

His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security from American Military University, a Master of Science in Leadership with a major concentration in Global Leadership from Duquesne University, a Certificate in Executive Leadership from Cornell University, and a Certificate in Leaders of Learning from Harvard University.
