The Media Line: Day of Conflict: Israel Targets Hezbollah Leadership, Thousands Displaced

As Israeli airstrikes intensified across southern Lebanon on Tuesday, thousands of civilians fled to escape the escalating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. Around 27,000 displaced people have already been settled in temporary shelters, according to UN and Lebanese officials.

The strikes, which began earlier this week, have targeted Hezbollah strongholds, including the suburbs of Beirut, resulting in widespread displacement and the deaths of both fighters and civilians. The violence has led to increasing fears of a full-scale war, particularly as Hezbollah continues to fire hundreds of rockets into northern Israel.
