Jeff, do you wear a mask when you go shopping? If so, why?
Its been many weeks since I’ve worn a mask or face-shield into a national retail chain store such as Target, Fred Meyer (Kroger), WALMART, Winco, Michaels, JoAnns, Pet Smart, Lowes, Home Depot, Office Depot, Staples, Ross Dress for Less, Dollar Tree! The signs are posted at the door; announcements are made over the speaker, but the clerks smile at me over their masks with their eyes and engage in light, pleasant conversation at the check out stand! The only places I carry my face-shield inside with me is locally owned stores as I believe they are the only ones Katie-mama will try to hurt. (She’s not going to go after national businesses!! She’s not that dumb!) Once I enter a locally owned store, I often see both the staff and other customers are mask-less too… Only one shopper has ever said anything to me about my lack of a mask. I explained: actual research has shown masks are insignificant against spreading Covid-19. (They help with colds and flu but not Covid.) I’ve had Covid. I’m vaccinated. I do not feel I am a danger to anyone here. So, I’ve chosen to follow science… rather than political science. Later, I noticed that person had pulled their mask down under their chin.
So, in the case of vaccine passports: we should NOT boycott! We should show up in mass – to shop! We should grab our carts and flood the doorways begging to be let in! No, of course we don’t have a vaccine passport but let us in to spend our money!! – This is the Rush Limbaugh approach instead of boycotts… Show them how many customers want to shop with them and let them say, “No, we would rather you shop someplace else because we are loyal to Katie-mama!” It’s not going to happen!
